Ingredients
- 30 oz marshmallows (divided into 3 bowls)
- 18 cups puffed rice cereal (divided into 3 bowls)
- 9 oz unsalted butter (divided into thirds)
- Red & blue food coloring
Instructions
- Grease a 9×13-inch dish with nonstick spray and set aside.
- For the red layer: Melt 3 oz butter in a large saucepan, add 10 oz marshmallows, stir until smooth, mix in red food coloring, then fold in 6 cups puffed rice cereal. Press this mixture into the prepared dish.
- For the white layer: Repeat the melting process with another 3 oz butter and 10 oz marshmallows; do not add coloring. Mix in 6 cups puffed rice cereal and layer over the red mixture.
- For the blue layer: Melt remaining 3 oz butter, add last 10 oz marshmallows, mix in blue food coloring, then fold in final 6 cups puffed rice cereal. Press this mixture on top of the white layer.
- Allow to cool before cutting into squares.
