Instructions
- Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C) and grease your doughnut pan.
- In one bowl, whisk together the flour, cocoa powder, baking powder, baking soda, and salt.
- In another bowl, combine melted butter, brown sugar, buttermilk, egg, vanilla extract, and nutmeg until smooth.
- Gradually fold the dry ingredients into the wet mixture until just combined; avoid overmixing.
- Fill each doughnut cavity halfway with batter.
- Bake for about 11 minutes or until a toothpick comes out clean; let cool slightly before transferring to a rack.
- For the glaze, whisk together confectioners' sugar, milk, vanilla extract, and salt until smooth and dip cooled doughnuts.
