- 1½ cups heavy whipping cream (for mousse)
- 8 oz semisweet chocolate (for mousse)
- 3 tbsp milk (for mousse)
- 2 tbsp powdered sugar (for mousse)
- 4 oz semisweet chocolate (for ganache)
- 1/2 cup heavy cream (for ganache)
Instructions
- Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C). Grease a 9×13-inch baking pan.
- In a bowl, mix melted butter and sugar until combined. Add eggs and vanilla; stir until smooth.
- In a separate bowl, sift cocoa powder, flour, salt, and baking powder. Gradually add dry ingredients to wet mixture; stir until just combined.
- Pour batter into the prepared pan and bake for 20–25 minutes or until a toothpick comes out slightly moist.
- For the mousse, melt 8 oz chocolate with 3 tbsp milk in a double boiler or microwave. Cool slightly.
- Whip heavy cream until soft peaks form; gently fold in melted chocolate until fully incorporated.
- Once brownies cool, spread mousse evenly on top. Chill for at least 3 hours before serving.
