  • 2 pounds ground beef (80/20)
  • 15.5 oz kidney beans
  • 15.5 oz chili hot beans
  • 29 oz diced tomatoes
  • 8 oz tomato sauce
  • Spices: chili powder, cumin, onion powder, brown sugar, garlic powder, salt

Instructions

  1. Dice onion, green bell pepper, and garlic into small pieces.
  2. In a large skillet over medium heat, heat olive oil. Sauté the diced vegetables for 2-3 minutes until softened.
  3. Add ground beef to the skillet and cook until almost browned.
  4. Mix in 2 tablespoons of chili powder; continue cooking until fully browned.
  5. Transfer mixture to a slow cooker; add remaining ingredients including beans, tomatoes, tomato sauce, spices, and stir well.
