  • 1 ½ cups granulated sugar (for cake base)
  • 3 large eggs
  • 2 teaspoons vanilla extract
  • 2 ½ cups all-purpose flour
  • 1 ½ teaspoons baking powder
  • ½ cup whipping cream or sour cream or Greek yogurt
  • ½ cup milk of choice
  • 1 cup powdered sugar (for icing)

Instructions

  1. Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C) and grease a bundt pan.
  2. Mix cinnamon and sugar in a small bowl; set aside.
  3. In a large bowl, cream together butter and granulated sugar until light and fluffy.
  4. Add eggs one by one, mixing well after each addition; stir in vanilla.
  5. Combine flour and baking powder separately; alternate adding this mixture with whipping cream and milk to the wet ingredients until just combined.
  6. Layer half of the batter in the bundt pan, sprinkle with half the cinnamon mixture, add remaining batter, then top with the rest of the cinnamon mix.
  7. Bake for about 55 minutes until a toothpick comes out clean; cool for 10 minutes before transferring to a wire rack.
  8. For icing, mix powdered sugar with cream/milk and vanilla until smooth; drizzle over the cooled cake.
