  • 3 cups broccoli florets
  • 1 yellow onion, diced
  • 1 red bell pepper, sliced
  • 2 tablespoons soy sauce
  • 1 cup beef broth
  • 3 tablespoons brown sugar
  • Peanut oil for cooking

Instructions

  1. In a small bowl, mix cornstarch with cold water and set aside. In another bowl, combine beef broth, soy sauce, brown sugar, garlic, ginger, and sesame oil.
  2. Heat oil in a large skillet over medium heat. Add broccoli and cook for 4-5 minutes until slightly softened. Remove from the pan.
  3. In the same skillet, cook ground beef and onions over medium-high heat until browned. Add bell pepper and cook for 1 minute.
  4. Pour in the sauce mixture and bring to a boil. Stir in the cornstarch mixture until thickened.
  5. Return broccoli to the skillet and combine everything well. Serve hot over cooked rice.
