  • For Glaze: 4 2/3 cups powdered sugar, 2 1/2 tablespoons honey, 1 tablespoon melted butter, and more

Instructions

  1. Whisk together flour, sugar, yeast, and salt in a bowl.
  2. In another bowl, combine warm water, honey, egg, vanilla extract, and melted shortening.
  3. Mix wet ingredients into dry ingredients using a stand mixer with a dough hook until a sticky dough forms.
  4. Knead the dough for about 8 minutes until smooth.
  5. Let the dough rise in a warm place for 1 to 2 hours until doubled.
  6. Roll out the risen dough into a rectangle and sprinkle with cinnamon sugar.
