  • 1 lb large shrimp, peeled and deveined
  • 8 oz smoked sausage, sliced
  • 2 cups broccoli florets
  • ¼ cup honey
  • ¼ cup low-sodium soy sauce
  • 1 tablespoon lemon juice
  • 4 cloves garlic, minced
  • Salt and pepper, to taste

Instructions

  1. Whisk together honey, soy sauce, garlic, lemon juice, and red pepper flakes in a small bowl; set aside.
  2. Heat olive oil in a large skillet over medium heat. Add sliced sausage and brown for about 5 minutes; remove from skillet.
  3. In the same skillet, cook shrimp seasoned with salt and pepper for 2–3 minutes until pink; remove from skillet.
  4. Add broccoli to the skillet with a splash of water. Cover and steam for 3–4 minutes until bright green.
  5. Return sausage and shrimp to the skillet. Pour in the honey garlic sauce; stir well and cook for an additional 2–3 minutes until thickened.
  6. Serve hot over rice or quinoa, garnished with fresh herbs.
