  • 1 cup all-purpose flour
  • 1 cup buttermilk
  • 1 cup panko breadcrumbs
  • ½ cup honey
  • 23 tablespoons hot sauce (adjust to taste)
  • 1 tablespoon butter
  • 1 teaspoon red pepper flakes (optional, for extra heat)
  • 1 tablespoon apple cider vinegar

Instructions

  1. In a mixing bowl, combine garlic powder, smoked paprika, salt, and black pepper. Toss in the shrimp to coat evenly.
  2. Set up three bowls: one with buttermilk, one with flour, and the third with panko breadcrumbs.
  3. Dip each seasoned shrimp into buttermilk, then coat with flour before rolling in panko until fully covered.
  4. Heat vegetable oil in a deep frying pot or skillet to 350°F (175°C). Fry shrimp in batches for 2–3 minutes per side until golden brown. Drain on paper towels.
  5. In a small saucepan over low heat, melt butter and mix in honey, hot sauce, red pepper flakes (optional), and apple cider vinegar until blended.
