  • 4 ounces cream cheese (softened)
  • 2 jalapeños (seeds removed and diced)
  • ½ cup green onion (diced)
  • 1 cup all-purpose flour
  • 1 large egg
  • 1 cup buttermilk
  • 1.52 cups breadcrumbs
  • Vegetable oil (for frying)
  • 2 teaspoons Slay Ya Mama
  • 2 teaspoons garlic powder
  • 1 teaspoon paprika
  • 1 teaspoon black pepper
  • ½ teaspoon red pepper flakes

Instructions

  1. In a large bowl, mix pepper jack cheese, cream cheese, jalapeños, and green onions until well combined.
  2. Roll the mixture into 1-inch balls and place on a foil-lined baking sheet to chill.
  3. Set up a dredging station with flour in one shallow dish, whisked egg and buttermilk in another, and seasoned breadcrumbs in a third.
  4. Coat each ball in flour, dip into the egg mixture, roll in breadcrumbs twice for extra crunch.
  5. Heat vegetable oil over medium heat and fry 4-6 balls at a time until golden brown on all sides. Drain on paper towels.
