Ingredients
- 2 tubes (8 ounces each) refrigerated crescent rolls
- 1 pound sliced Swiss cheese
- 1 1/4 pounds sliced deli corned beef
- 1 can (14 ounces) sauerkraut, rinsed and well drained
- 2/3 cup Thousand Island salad dressing
- 1 egg white, lightly beaten
- 3 teaspoons caraway seeds
Instructions
- Preheat the oven to 375°F (190°C).
- Unroll one tube of crescent dough on a floured surface and shape it into a rectangle. Transfer to a greased 13×9-inch baking dish and bake for 8–10 minutes until lightly golden.
- In a mixing bowl, combine the rinsed sauerkraut with Thousand Island dressing.
- Layer half of the Swiss cheese over the baked crust, followed by all the corned beef, the sauerkraut mixture, and the remaining Swiss cheese.
- Unroll the second tube of crescent dough, seal seams, and place on top of the casserole. Brush with egg white and sprinkle caraway seeds.
- Bake for an additional 12–16 minutes until golden brown.
