  • 600 grams of roast beef
  • Salt and freshly ground pepper
  • 1 tablespoon of mustard
  • 4 tablespoons of vegetable oil
  • 2 onions
  • 1 handful of lettuce (arugula or spinach)

Instructions

  1. Season the roast beef with salt and pepper. Sear in a frying pan with vegetable oil until golden brown, then brush with mustard and roast in the oven at 140°C (275°F) for about 30 minutes.
  2. Slice onions into rings and sweat them in the leftover oil until golden brown; season with salt and pepper.
  3. Rinse and chop the lettuce.
  4. Toast the bread, then layer with roast beef slices, cooked onions, and lettuce. Top with another slice of toast and cut diagonally before serving.
