  • 200 g ground pork
  • 200 g raw shrimp (chopped)
  • 3 cups chicken broth
  • 1 tbsp grated ginger
  • 2 green onions (chopped)
  • 2 tbsp Chinese cooking wine
  • Optional: bok choy or noodles for serving

Instructions

  1. Prepare the filling by combining ground pork, chopped shrimp, ginger, green onions, soy sauce, cooking wine, salt, and sesame oil in a mixing bowl.
  2. Use a potato masher to achieve a smooth consistency while keeping small shrimp chunks intact.
  3. Place a teaspoon of filling on each wonton wrapper. Brush edges with water and fold to seal tightly.
  4. Cook wontons in boiling water for about 4 minutes until they float; remove with a slotted spoon.
  5. For the broth, simmer chicken broth with smashed garlic and ginger for 5-10 minutes. Remove garlic and ginger before serving.
  6. Assemble by adding cooked wontons to bowls and ladling over hot broth. Garnish with chopped green onions.
